Get ready for action! 

Gal 5:25-26 (Pray keep us in step)

1. If we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Without holiness, no man will see God. 

Pray about it.

2. Ezekial 37:1-10 It’s the breath of God.

Take heed you stand lest you fall.

Nothing is impossible for God.

Believed God in the middle of a dead situation.

Titus 3:4-6 (But when God our Savior.)

Be ready for every good work. 

(God Appeared)

1.  He saved us.

2.  Mercy

3.  Renewal of the Holy Spirit

4.  Poured out on us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

5.  Justified us by His grace.

6.  We might become heirs 

7. Be careful to devote yourself to good works.

Keep in Step with the Spirit 

A. Walking at the same pace- same direction as the Spirit.

B.  The command is imperative because we live by the Spirit.

C. Let’s keep in step.

D.  It is a new Life in Him to enjoy.

Gal 3:1-3

Hearing by faith in His word.  Walk in the faith of God.

1Cor 12:3 Don’t lose focus.

The Holy Spirit leads us to put all our Faith and trust and hope in Jesus Christ (Day by Day)

To Please God:

1. Live by the Spirit 1 Peter 2:24

2. Keep in step with His inward voice and the Word.

3. Embrace your weakness.

4. Let the Spirit hold you in His strength.

 5.  Let prayer and worship bring you closer.

A few weeks ago I turned 60 and I was having car problems that day.  I was heading to the mechanic and there was a homeless man at the corner.  I only had $1.00 and I gave it to him.  But, as I drove away, I started crying and the tears wouldn’t stop.  Then, the Lord impressed on me that the homeless people  no longer just want food or money, but are ready to receive the Word of God.

Resolve:  It is all about Him.  Get up and keep walking.

Phil 1:6 Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.

Are you on this highway of faith yet? Isa 35:8

God is trying to get you on the highway of freedom.  Isa 49:11 Holiness is what God is looking for. Get in God and let him plan what He wants for your life.

If God says it’s WRONG, it’s WRONG!.  You have to be holy to get on the highway of faith.

Quit condemning people, get the beam out of your own eye.

2 Cor. 1:20 All the promises of God are yes in Him.  

Heb 12:24 When God speaks something, it comes to pass.

1Peter 13:16 It is written, you shall be holy for I am holy.

Stop living like the world.

1Thes 4:3 Abstain from sexual immorality.

Resolve to walk in love, no matter what.

I don’t want to fail God.

Heb 12:14 Strive for peace with everyone and for holiness. 

Col 3:2 Set your mind on things above.

Eph 4

A prisoner for the Lord-urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.

We think we can figure out God and tell Him what to do with our lives.

He’s NOT gonna do things your way..Quit letting emotions and feelings rule. Sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to. Have to wait on Him.

Resolve some things: 

Eph 4:23 Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

Resolve to get out of the pattern of how you  think.

Put on a new self, created after the likeness of God.  Think like God. Walk like God. Love like God.

Isa 35:8 Don’t give up so easily.

Phil 1:6 He keeps working on us 

Day is at hand. Cast off works of darkness. Rom 12:24

Colossians 3:12

Put on then , God’s chosen ones, Holy and beloved.

1) Compassionate Hearts

2) Kindness

3) Humility

4)Meekness

5) Patience

6) Bearing with one another

7) Forgiving one another as the Lord has forgiven you.

Col 1:1-10 Put on the new self.-keep it on.

1) Truth and  Justice must  always be balanced out of a heart of love.

2) Let love guide you on everything in your life.

3) The power of prayer must be experienced through an ongoing adventure with God.

John  14:6 Pray, knowing God through faith.  I am the way, the truth and the life.

1 Timothy 2:5

Praying with an expectant heart.

Psalm 66:18-19 if you hold on to sin and refuse to confess it, you cannot take full hold on God.

Prayer can be made in public, but only sincere hearts connect with God.

2) Praying repetitive, empty words.

Lifeless, canned, just to be heard. Matt 6:7-8

3) Prayers not prayed James 4:2 You do not ask. verse 3 wrong motives.

Praying a prayer that is faithless from you heart-has no power.

Keys that open the door. 

Asking- Seeking-Knocking and it will open.

Heb 12: 1-29 Do not grow weary in well doing.  Great shaking yet to come. The kingdom we represent cannot be shaken. Pray that you are in the Light when the trumpet blows.When heaven speaks, the world will listen. God is in control of all things. God says, “I have empowered you in whatever you face.”

Last 4-5 years God has warned the church, yet people still are not listening.

Have the Word in you.  God will shake everything that can be shaken. The time of shaking is  now.

Is 24:19 God’s judgement. The Earth is utterly broken. Judgement is coming.

Haggai 2:6-7  Call out for Mercy. There is a covering over us. He is shaking all nations. He will fill the house with glory. We are those filled with power.

Shaking and judgement-the church will cry out for mercy.

Heb 12:26 ……whose voice shook the heavens.

The Purpose of the Shaking

1. Removal of those things that can be shaken.

2. We take God’s blessing and love and mercy for granted.

3. Our priorities get messed up.

4. Shakings will turn our attention back to God.

5. God will open our eyes to what is of real value.

6. Our love for God is more than other things. 

2 Cor 4:18-19, Heb. 11:26- God wants to bless you, stand up.  Heb 12:28-29, Rom 12:1

Rom 12:2

1. Read the Word with an open heart.

2. Study the Word for yourself.

3.  Add prayer and the Word together.

4. Take steps to follow the Word.

5.  Follow means to listen to the voice of the Spirit. (He speaks through the Word.)

6.  Learn by studying the Word. There is power in the spoken Word. (Use it daily,)

Seek God’s face

1 Chron. 16:11, James 4:8, Ps 14:2, Ps 105:5, Ps 119:2-3,

Phil 4:11-13, 2  Tim 2:15 Present yourselves fully to God. Work hard so you can  be Word ready.

The Preeminence of Christ

Colossians 1:15-20 He is above all things.

Verse 20 Through Him (reconcile) making peace by the blood of His Cross.

Verse 21 And you who once were alienated and hostile in your mind (doing evil deeds)

Presentation-the act of giving or showing something THE WAY.

If you are born again, surrender eveything to Him. Give your life totally so He can reveal Himself in you.  There’s no turning back.  Never put Him second. Lay it all down. Put God first.

2 Cor 4:4 God blinded the eyes of unbelievers.  Great falling away.  Follow the Spirit. Your trial will be your greatest victory.  Surrender totally to Him.

1 TIm 1:17 Through Him  we are reconciled. Pray in the Spirit. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is for your prayer life.  

Jude 1:24-25 For Him and by Him. God wants to reveal Himself to you in every test and trial.

Eph. 1:4-5 He chose us. God loves YOU.

Ps 89: 20-29Follow him. Give Him your all.

Acts 13:22-25 And having found David, a man after my own heart. Who will do ALL My will.

John said there’s one coming after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.

Eph. 5:27 so He might present the church in splendor without spot or wrinkle (no imperfection) 

1 Cor 1:8 Who will sustain you to the end; guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Phil 1:6 I am sure of this.

God has prepared you for the next step.

Mark 4:35-41 Let us go across to the other side.  Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?

Be in unity in the Spirit, be in unity with one another, unity as a nation.  Let the Word of God be your anchor.  God needs us to be united.

Mark 1:27-28

Luke 5:9, 13

He is the god of Now. Swift. Strenuous. Quick- has compassion, Love. He hears us when we pray. (Call on His name) He will help straightway- immediately, forthwith)

Acts 27:9-31 Paul in a storm. (Word from God 22-26) When the storm came He instructed them. Taught them the secrets of the Kingdom. He took them into the storm.

1. They ignored Paul and kept sailing.

2. But not for long.

3. When neither sun nor stars for may days.

4. When things start getting really bad, that’s your moment (if you will only listen to the voice of God and the voice of Reason.

Ps.91:1 You’re going to make it.

It’s time to grow up. Sometimes He takes everything you depend on from  you. 

If you call yourself a child of God, It is time.

Why are you afraid? God is with you and will keep you.  Peace, be still.

God gave you power. Stand , get strong.  Withstand every fiery dart.

What else do you need, says the Lord? Get up NOW and be the church says the Lord.

Stand up and dedicate yourself. Jesus is the only saviour! God holds your tomorrow.  He’s gathering the church of Jesus.

Col 1:28-29 7 things to help you grow up into Christ

1. Be united with Christ.

2. Have a mature relationship with Christ, not a crybaby.

3. Trust Him in all things in  our lives.

4.  Worship Him, being thankful because of who He is to each one of us-we are Christians.

5. Live to love and obey His every desire in our lives.

6. Proclaim Christ in order that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

7. Time to listen when God speaks to your heart.

Romans 8:1-7 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We cannot please God unless we are being lead by the Spirit.

We try to tell God what we want.  There is a time and a season for the blessings of God.

Don’t let the devil keep you down. God has done what the law could not do.  Wait on God. Set your mind on things above, not things of the flesh.  Set your mind on the Spirit.  It is life and peace. The flesh is hostile and does not submit to the will of God.  Those in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:12-17 So then, brothers, we are debtors.

Revelation Revealed.

Romans 10:17-18 But have you not heard? 

Romans 10: 6-10 Faith grows as we pursue the things of God through the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

1Peter 2:2 Put away all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander.

Faith must be exercised.  Talk faith, live in faith.

Romans 8:1-4, Romans 8:14

6 Things the Spirit Requires

1)The Spirit calls out to your heart. 2 cor; 3:6

2) Why? Because there is life in the Spirit.

3) Benefits-an advantage or profit.Gained from following the leadership of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 4:10-11

4)We carry the keys to the Kingdom. God invested in our hearts and minds. Matt 16:19

5) We have a heavenly mind set because of waiting on the Spirit Romans 8:5-8

Col 3:14

6) We become oracles of the Living God through the power of the Holy Spirit(invested in by the Blood of the Lamb of God-free fromsin to follow the Holy Spirit.

How to be lead by the Spirit.

Rev 7:16,17 A place called Heaven.God wants you do know the benefits of God right now.

Isaiah 49:10 A place called Earth.Sometimes it is hard, but not so if Heaven is within us. Forget actions of people, listen to the Spirit. Don’t neglect the Holy Spirit.  You have to listen. You can’t walk with the Spirit and sit at the table with the devil.  Have a humble spirit.  Put away all malice. He wants to heal you from the inside out.

1 Peter 2:1-7   Verse 7 So the honor is for you who believe (Spirit will lead you all your life.)

1 Peter 1: 9-12 Receiving the end of your faith.  Look at the old testament saints. 

Look at verse 13- therefore, preparing your minds for action.

Romans 13:12-14 the night is far spent, the day of the Lord is at hand. (Feed the Spirit and starve the flesh.)

How to be lead of the Spirit:

1.  Jesus as a man, was full ofl the Spirit and was lead by the Spirit.

2.  Power comes to the ones living close to the Holy Spirit.

Life in the Spirit

Romans 8:1-7 Verse 7 for the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.

verse 8-9 this is where the power is-living close to God and the Holy Spirit (please God.)

John 16:31-33 Jesus answered them. (Do you now believe?)

Romans 8:14-16 The Spirit (Holy Spirit who was to come was to guide- lead- feed  Spiritual things coming from the father-Jesus-Spirit.)

Phil 2:1-4 1. Stay full of the Holy Spirit, 2. Power comes from living close to the Spirit

3. Everyday listening, open to the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God and fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit be with you all.
